Veteran Attorney Forms New Law Firm
DENVER—Feb. 18, 2004—Veteran
Attorney Steven M. Bush has established a new law practice at 600 17th
St. in Denver. The firm serves individuals and business clients with
business and corporate formations, acquisitions and sales, business and
real estate transactions, and general business matters.
Bush has more than 20 years of
legal, business and tax experience. Most recently, he started a Mr.
Handyman franchise and grew it into Colorado’s top franchise within three
years. He received recognition from the International Franchise
Association in 2002 as its Franchisee of the Year.
Prior to his successful
franchise experience, he served as state tax counsel for MediaOne Group,
Inc., Denver. He also held positions as state and local tax practice
leader for Arthur Andersen, LLP, assistant tax conferee for the Colorado
Department of Revenue and as assistant attorney general for Colorado’s
Office of Attorney General.
“The combination of my
experience as a business owner and attorney is particularly useful in
counseling my clients about the legal issues confronting their business,”
Bush explains.
A Colorado native, Bush received
his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of
Northern Colorado and his law degree from the University of Denver. He is
a member of the Colorado and Arapahoe Bar Associations, the South Metro
Chamber of Commerce and a former director and treasurer of the Colorado
Public Expenditure Research Council.
Bush also serves as an
instructor for the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park
and as a counselor for the Small Business Development Center in Denver.
